7. Wooden Toe
This is hailed as the first prosthesis ever found. Sporting a leather device with a toa nail, the artifact is said to belonged to an ancient Egyptian high priest, Tabaketenmut, who may have lost her big toe to gangrene caused by diabetes. This artifact is said to be dating from before 600 BC.
