8. Coffee, Tea and other coffee-based beverages
Owners should never let their dogs near coffee or any form of caffeine.
Caffeine in a large amount can be fatal for a dog and there is no antidote. Coffee contains a stimulant known Methylated xanthine that stimulates the nervous system dogs causing vomiting, restlessness, heart palpitations and even death.
9. Milk and dairy products
Dogs can also suffer from lactose intolerance. Milk contains milk sugar that dogs don’t have the enzymes to break down. Other dairy products can cause vomiting, diarrhea and stomach upset. While it’s not immediately life-threatening it can contribute to bacterial exposure in dogs that could eventually lead to disease.
