9. DESERT BOTANICAL GARDEN, PHOENIX, ARIZONA
A garden in a desert? Yes, indeed, there is. It is called the Desert Botanical Garden in Arizona. It is vastly 140 acres with 50,000 varieties of cacti and other desert plants such as succulents and wildflowers. You could also visit a herb garden and a butterfly house (they ask for an extra $3.50 charge for non-members to see the butterflies). Even though it is considerably hot in Arizona, it caters food and drinks in their Terrace Cafe for you to take a break and benches along the way.
