11. Butchart Gardens, British Columbia
The Butchart Gardens located in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, Canada near Victoria on Vancouver Island is a group of floral display gardens with almost a million visitors each year. The garden was originally a quarry. As Mr. Butchart exhausted limestone deposits, his wife, Jennie Butchard little by little Jennie Butchart transformed the abandoned quarry to a beautiful sunken garden.
