Kelimutu Crater Lake, Flores Island, Indonesia
Kelimutu Crater Lake is a volcano close to the small town of Moni in central Flores Island in Indonesia. The volcano contains three striking crater lakes of varying colors. The westernmost of three lakes is usually color blue and it is called the Tiwu Ata Bupu or the Lake of Old people. Tiwu Ko’o Fai Nuwa or the Lake of Young Men and Maidens and Tiwu Ata Polo or the Bewitched or Enchanted Lake are separated by a crater wall and are typically green or red.
