This Malaysian Airline flight vanished without a trace. It was on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. The day it flew, there was no distress signal or and the weather was clear. It just disappeared from the radar. Because no remains were found even after massive search operations, it was just assumed that all 239 people on flight are dead.
