Wow! Signal

Jerry R. Ehman was able to pick up a radio frequency coming from deep space. This happened when he worked in SETI Project Ohio Wesleyan University’s Perkins Observatory. It was a signal of 72 seconds coming from the Sagittarius constellation. Everyone is clueless as to where the signal came from. It got its name from the “Wow” noted by Ehman on the printout.

The Taos Hum

A sound of a distant diesel engine is always heard on the horizon of a small town in Taos, Mexico. Several sound detection devices fails to pick up the buzz even if it is completely audible. This has been called the Taos hum. Up to this day no one can tell how and where the sound is created.
