Busby’s Stoop Chair
This tarnished chair once belonged to the convicted murderer, Thomas Busby. Before he was hanged for his crimes, was to have his favorite meal at his favorite local pub. Although after finishing his meal, he stood up and proclaimed that sudden death come to anyone who dares to sit in his chair. Since then, 63 people who have sat in his chair met their untimely deaths, sometimes mere moments after sitting in it. After those incidents, the owner of the pub donated the chair to the Thirsk Museum in the UK in 1972. The chair is still there today and is hung 1.5 meters off the ground to prevent any further coincidences.
