Amazon River’s 13 Undiscovered Monsters

Green Anaconda

The Green Anacondas are non-venomous species found in South America. It is the largest, heaviest and one of the longest known extant snake species. The primarily nocturnal anaconda species tend to spend most of its life in or around water. They are also known as the water boa; they spend more time in waters than any of the boas. They are slow and sluggish when traveling on land due to their size although they have potential to reach high speeds in the water.  Since they are aquatic, they prey on fish, birds, a variety of mammals and other reptiles or almost anything they can manage to overpower.
