5. Box up. Collecting boxes may lessen your expense with shipment. If you do not have any lying around the house, try the local grocery or department store and ask if they have boxes to spare. Some might give them for free, which is much better. Make sure that the boxes are large and durable enough to hold your things. Buy a heavy duty packing tape to seal them after.
