The Patriot
The movie took place in South Carolina that was being starred by Mel Gibson, Chris Cooper, and Heath Ledger. The Darby Farm in Chester County served as the location for many of the film’s battle scenes. The location for the Continental Encampment and the plantation in Camden was at Historic Brattonsville. After the movie was completed, it was completely abandoned.
