10 Things you’ll realize when you start living away from Home

3. You’ll surely miss your mom after realizing no. 2

Now that you realize how fast time flies, you’ll surely wish that your mom is still there to help you out. You’ll even miss talking to her and seeing her all the time. You’ll miss the moments when you wake up in the morning and smell the breakfast that she’s preparing for you. A very gentle welcoming smile to greet you upon coming home and a sumptuous meal on the table with the food you asked for.  All you have to do is prepare for work, come home and rest. You’ll appreciate her and admire her on how she can juggle all the work at home at the same time have enough time to pay the bills on time, she is indeed a wonder woman. All moms are!

4. You’ll realize that you could’ve saved much more when you were staying with your parents. No bills, no rent:

OK, so this part is one tough task to fulfill. I know everyone of you experienced being nagged by your parents to save up for yourself and for emergencies and I definitely know how it feels every time you hear that. Saving is very hard if you don’t know how to manage your resources well. Or worse, not knowing how to live a balanced lifestyle. When you are living with your parents, you don’t need to pay the bills or pay the rent so all your salary goes to your pocket. You may give some to your mom but you still have more than enough to enjoy 2 venti cups of your favorite coffee from Starbucks a day, 1 movie every weekend, party 3 nights a week, dinner dates with your girlfriends and shopping sprees or even out of town trips with your best buds.

As you reminisce how free you were before, you’ll end up calculating all the money that you could’ve saved back then. Now, every cent counts. The moment your salary arrives on your account, the first thing you remember is how much are your payables this month including the rent, utilities and groceries. Then before you rejoice that you still have enough money left, you automatically separate some for your savings. And before you realize it, you’re only left with a few couple bucks just enough for your daily expenses to work. I know you really want to run back home again and turn back time, but sadly, we cannot do that. Come on, grown ups don’t just quit!
